The winter flowering honeysuckle is one of the best scented flowers of the winter flowering shrubs. It is not a climbing plant, but a semi-evergreen bushy shrub with dull green leaves, blue-green beneath and very fragrant creamy white flowers in winter and early spring, (flowers February to March) followed by dull red berries.. It will grow in shade, but flowers best in full sun and likes well drained soils. Height approx 1.2m. Spread approx 1.3m in 6 years.
