Covid-19 Latest

We’re pleased to say that under the new government Tier 4 rules that came into operation on 31st December 2020, garden centres in England are allowed to stay open to the general public as long as precautions are made with regard to social distancing.

Customer numbers within the garden centre will be limited at busy times and to allow for this there will be spaced queuing area outside on the carpark, customers will then be advised by a member of staff when they are allowed to enter the store.

Please note that it may become necessary to limit the number of people per household to help control numbers in the shop at any one time. Groups of people will not be allowed to congregate.

Although we will still allow dogs into the shop, they must be kept on a short lead, under control and if they make a mess please clear it up yourself. We reserve the right to ask you to leave with your dog if these rules are not followed. This situation will be monitored constantly and may result in dogs being banned again (assistance dogs will always be allowed on site).

It is important that customers know what products they wish to buy before arriving, prolonged browsing within the store will not be allowed. Although we’re always happy to give advice, please do not expect to shop for you at the moment – we will continue to load compost etc into cars but with strict distancing rules in place.

The store will have navigation markers and signs to aid customers in finding their way around the garden centre and to aid with social distancing.

The till area will have spaced queuing, you will be asked to place ALL your goods onto the counter and then step away while staff process them, you will then be invited to step forward and pay while our staff member steps back. Please take a basket or trolley with you when you enter the shop – do not place goods into your own shopping bags until they are paid for.

We ask that customers pay by card wherever possible and our contactless limit has been increased to £45.

Please be responsible and respectful to both staff and other customers, these are difficult times that can be frustrating but we are all in this together and only by working together can we stay open with safe and relatively stress free conditions.

We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave without purchasing if they don’t abide by our rules.

Thank You.
